About this trip

You will continue your tour to the Pyrgos village, the old capital of the island, built on the highest point of the island, on the slope of the mountain Profetes Elias. In the center of the village you will visit the medieval castle that still retains its Venetian characteristics with houses built amphitheatrically around it. On the top of the mountain there is the Profetes Elias monastery, one of the oldest churches in the island, probably from the 10th century.
Before you take the road for the famous Oia village, you will have a stop to a local winery where you will see up close the wine manufacturing, a tradition that is strongly connected with Santorin's history.
